CHENNAI: The makers of Thalapathy 68 ,officially announced the director and music composer for the untitled film. The film, which is tentatively titled as Thalapathy 68, will be directed by Venkat Prabhu. The makers shared a video on their social media pages announcing that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing music for the film.

The film will be produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh of AGS Entertainment, which marks the second collaboration between the production house and actor Vijay after Bigil. It was revealed that the film will be made on a grand scale with Archana Kalpathi as the creative producer. It should be noted that Vijay and Yuvan Shankar Raja are teaming up after Pudhiya Geethai (2003). The makers stated the announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made in the upcoming days.

Actor Vijay is currently shooting for Leo, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Thalapathy 68 is slated to release in 2024.
