CHENNAI: Last seen in Tere Ishk Mein in Hindi, Dhanush is busy with his upcoming films in Tamil. The team of his 54th film, directed by Vignesh Raja of Por Thozhil fame, has wrapped up the shooting of the project. On Sunday, the makers shared a series of pictures from the celebration.
The film went on floors in July this year. The first-look poster featured Dhanush standing in a barnyard engulfed in dark clouds and fire. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead, and the star cast includes KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Karunas, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Prithvi Pandiarajan, among others.
Billed to have a gripping narrative, D54 is backed by Vels Film International. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer, while Theni Eswar is handling the camera. Sreejith Sarang is taking care of the cuts.
This year has been a fruitful one for Dhanush, as his films, both as lead and director, gained attention from the audience. The list includes Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, Kuberaa, Idli Kadai and Tere Ishk Mein. He has D55 with Rajkumar Periasamy and the 56th film, helmed by Mari Selvaraj.
