Historic launch of 34 cinematic journeys

CHENNAI: As a first-of-its-kind launch, 34 films directed by 34 directors, trained under the same institution, have been launched simultaneously. Renowned cinematographer, director, writer, and film enthusiast Chezhiyan, has been running a training initiative for future filmmakers under the banner The Film School.

From this institution, 34 trained student filmmakers have come together to create 34 independent feature films.

The launch event was held in Chennai. The event was graced by several eminent personalities from the film industry, including editors B Lenin and Sreekar Prasad; cinematographers PC Sreeram and Ravi Varman; President MGR Film Institute Trotsky Marudu; producer and film critic Dhananjeyan; directors Gnanarajasekaran and Hariharan; sound designer Tapas Nayak; film scholar Dr Thayappan; and writers Pattukottai Prabhakar and Tamil Prabha, among others.
