CHENNAI: Meesaya Murukku, released in 2017, marked the directorial debut of Hiphop Adhi, who was known for his independent albums.

The film received huge appreciation and also emerged as a hit. Now, Adhi has announced the next part of the film.

At his concert in Malaysia, the musician-actor announced that Meesaya Murukku 2 is in the cards and Harshath Khan has joined the cast. Adhi revealed that Meesaya Murukku 2 is also a true story of two friends, just like Meesaya Murukku. While Adhi plays one friend, Harshath will be playing the other friend.

Meesaya Murukku was a musical drama about Hiphop Tamizha Adhi's journey from an engineering student to an independent musician. The star cast included Aathmika, Vivek, Vigneshkanth and Ma Ka Pa Anand, among others.

Harshath Khan, a YouTuber, is known for his roles in Dragon and Aaromaley.
