'Hindi theriyadhu poda' sets Twitter on fire, Kollywood celebs trend in t-shirts of Tamil slogans

The picture posted by actor Shirish along with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja became an overnight sensation.

Lately, Kollywood celebrities like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Shirish, Shanthanu were seen wearing t-shirts with Tamil slogan that is against Hindi imposition in the country. The hashtag 'Hindi theriyadhu poda' is trending on Twitter. 

The picture posted by actor Shirish along with music director Yuvan Shankar Raja became an overnight sensation. In the photo, Yuvan was seen wearing a white t-shirt with Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar's picture on it. "I am a Thamizh pesum Indian", the slogan on his shirt read. Shirish was seen wearing a red t-shirt with 'Hindi theriyadhu poda' slogan. 

Apart from K-town celebs, politicians like DMK MP Kanimozhi and DMK Youth wing president Udhayanidhi Stalin were seen wearing slogans of Tamil pride. 

T-shirts with Tamil slogans have now become a state-wide sensation.
