Harbhajan to play Thiruvalluvar in a Tamil web series

Earlier, we had reported that former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh will be making his debut in Tamil with Santhanam’s Dikkilona and the film is said to be a science-fiction of sorts.

The latest is that the popular off-spinner has been roped in to play the role of the famous Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar, in a web series directed by Dude Vicky. Bankrolled by popular YouTube Channel Blacksheep, the web series has been titled Thirukkural ConsultancyServices.


A source in the know of things says, “The web series will have 10 episodes and it will be a fun entertainer. Makers thought that Harbhajan resembles Thiruvalluvar in a way and it will be fun to feature him. The series will be streamed from February 2, next year.”


We also hear that major portions of the series involving the cricketer have been shot in November. Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh will be shooting for Santhanam’s project this month end and his role will be a crucial one. The film will also feature Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, Shirin Kanchwala and Rajendran in pivotal roles.
