Gautham Menon plays crucial role in Thalapathy 67, allocates over 40 days

CHENNAI: Filmmaker-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon is the latest addition to the cast of Thalapathy 67 aka Vijay 67 that will go on floors in December. He is said to be playing a meaty role where it demands over 40 days of call-sheet from director Lokesh Kanagaraj.

A source in the know told DT Next, "Gautham Menon was earlier approached for Vijay's Varisu directed by Vamshi Paidipally. He couldn't allocates dates as he was busy directing STR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. Recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj approached him to take up the role in Thalapathy 67 and he agreed. His character in the film as of now is kept under wraps."

Produced by Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio, Thalapathy 67 aka Vijay 67 has Sanjay Dutt, Prithviraj, Trisha, Samantha and Arjun Das in important roles. The story is co-written by Rathnakumar and Deeraj Vaidy. An official announcement is expected to be made soon by the makers.
