CHENNAI: Drishyam 3, headlined by Mohanlal, is the third film from the successful Drishyam franchise. The film is all set to hit the screens on April 2, the makers announced on Wednesday. 

A Jeethu Joseph directorial, the crime thriller looks at what happens in Georgekutty’s life four and a half years after the last part. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the film also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil and Asha Sharath in key roles. 

Released in 2013, Drishyam was a landmark film in Malayalam cinema, praised for its tightly woven plot and powerful performances. Its sequel, which came out in 2021, also received widespread acclaim and broke records both in theatres and on streaming platforms.
