CHENNAI: The much-awaited trailer of Mohan G’s directorial Draupathi 2 was released on Saturday. Giving a glimpse into the world, the video is filled with intense sequences. Bankrolled by Netaji Productions and GM Film Corporation, the star cast includes Richard Rishi, Rakshana Induchoodan, Natti Natraj and YG Mahendran.

A historical film, Ghibran composes the music. Recently, the film made headlines when the director said that Chinmayi’s version of the Emkoney song will not be a part of the film. It may be recalled that a few days ago, singer Chinmayi had tendered an apology for having sung the number.

After which, director Mohan shared, "I had given time until last week in the hope that she would react. I have lodged a complaint with the director's union, and the producer has complained to the producers' council. We have complained that, without any cause, she has defamed our film in public. The complaints have gone to FEFSI."

Draupathi 2 will hit the screens for Pongal.
