Most of the cast and crew members were present at the function. Tentatively titled D43, the film is a crime thriller based on a real-life incident. It was reported that Dhanush will be playing the role of a journalist. The film is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. They shared pictures taken during the first day of the shoot with a tweet. “We are very happy to start our shoot of #D43 from today! The music is done by GV Prakash. Dhanush is waiting for the release of Jagame Thanthiram directed by Karthik Subbaraj and Mari Selvaraj’s Karnan. He is also working on the Hindi film, Atrangi Re directed by Aanand L Rai. Malavika Mohanan is waiting for the release of Master next week.
