Case filed against Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan on usage of dialogue in trailer

CHENNAI: Following the release of Vettaiyan trailer on Wednesday, a case has been filed against the film in the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, as reported by Thanthi TV.

The petitioner, Palanivelu from Madurai, has requested the removal of dialogue related to an encounter scene in the film, stating that the movie should be banned until these lines are removed.

The petition for the ban on "Vettaiyan" is scheduled to be heard on Thursday.

Superstar Rajinikanth's 170th film Vettaiyan is directed by TJ Gnanavel and Produced by Lyca.

The ensemble cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Abhirami.

Vettaiyan was recently certified U/A with a runtime of 163 minutes.

The film is all set to hit the screens on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
