Talking to DT Next, Rathindran said, “Bhoomika isn’t a complete horror film or something that can be restricted to one particular genre. As a director, I don’t believe in piling a story up under one genre. It has various elements and genre the audience will come across till the final frame of the film.” The cinematography of the film is handled by Italian cinematographer Roberto Zazzara.

“Though Roberto doesn’t understand the dialogues, he knows the mood of the scene and has visually packed a punch. We had previously worked together in Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai. He was all praise for Aishwarya, who knows her camera angles really well. Aishwarya has evolved a lot as an actor since Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai. She is a curious actor, who learns the craft and improvises every day.” The film is produced by Karthik Subbraj’s Stone Bench Production and Kaarthekeyan Santhanam and is co-produced by Sudhan Sundaram. “Directing Bhoomika was much easier than doing Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai. The producers made it easy for me and it was a cakewalk,” he concluded.
