Mahesh is known for singing classics and fusions with a straight face. “I have been a part of several reality shows. I practised the art of singing with a straight face for quite some time now and posting it on my social media.

“However, Varun Dhawan coming across my singing and commenting on it with a happy face is one of the biggest recognition I could get,” he told DT Next. The aspiring singer said that music has always been in his genes. “I am the seventh generation of the great poet and veena player Muthuswami Dikshitar. I was inclined towards music since childhood. When it came to fusions of lyrics with the tune of old classics, I compare the pitch of the song and the words in the stanza. Fortunately, a lot of them have clicked for me. I am only planning to take this to next level in the coming months,” he concluded.
