Balaji Mohan’s next with Amala, Dushara to go on floors in London

The exclusive update is that the film will have actress Amala Paul in lead role thus marking her collaboration with Balaji Mohan exactly 10 years after Kaadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi.

CHENNAI: Director Balaji Mohan, whose last feature film was Maari 2 (2018) that starred Dhanush in the lead role is set to be back behind the monitor after four years.

The exclusive update is that the film will have actress Amala Paul in lead role thus marking her collaboration with Balaji Mohan exactly 10 years after Kaadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi.

A source in the know told DT Next, “The film will go on floors this month in London. The project will be completely shot in the UK for over 40 days. Apart from Amala Paul, Dushara Vijayan and Kalidas Jayaram are sharing the screen space yet again after Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. The film is being bankrolled by a Kuala Lumpur-based producer. An official announcement on the project with the complete cast and crew will be made by the makers later this month.”

Sources say that Punnagai Poo Gheetha, a popular RJ and producer in Malaysia is bankrolling the film under the banner Media One Global Entertainment. She has previously produced Tamil movies like Naanum Single Dhaan, and Sangu Chakkaram among others.

Amala Paul was last seen in Cadaver and had opened to mixed responses. Kalidas Jayaram has added a few kilos to look his part in the film.
