Andhagaaram became big when Atlee came in: Vignarajan

Andhagaaram has been the talk of the town as it is one of the very few Tamil films that will have its premiere on Netflix on November 24.

The film is produced by Atlee’s A for Apple Productions, alongside Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram under their banner Passion Studios and K. Poornachandra’s O2 Pictures respectively. The film has been in the 

making for quite some time. “We had made a pilot film and showed it to a few people who didn’t come forward to produce. That’s when I was introduced to Atlee, who was in the middle of making Bigil. He 

saw the pilot and liked it. The project became big once he came on board,” Vignarajan told DT Next. The cast of the film has prominent names like Arjun Das, Pooja Ramachandran and Vinoth Kishan. “They 

believed in me. Despite having big projects and being popular, they had trust in me as well as the script of s. The story takes place in Chennai and the characters are interconnected,” he added.
