The actress was supposed to shoot for the film in Hyderabad, Gujarat, and Pune earlier this month. However, due toCovid-19 scare, the shoot got postponed, which paved the way for rumours. The latest is that, a source close to the film unit said that the actress is still a part of the film.

“Post the coronavirus scare, the team has been in touch with Alia’s manager and they have been working out the dates. The upcoming schedule will predominantly feature Alia and 80 per cent of the film is completed. She will begin shooting for her portions from May,” said the source. Made on a budget of Rs 450 crore, RRR revolves around two revolutionary freedom fighters Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively.

The makers of the film are planning to wrap up the shoot by September and release it in January 2020.
