CHENNAI: As fans of Ajith Kumar have been eagerly awaiting an update from the makers of AK61, the buzz in tinseltown is that Thunive Thunai has been finalised as the film's title and the makers will be releasing the first look on October 2.

Earlier on Monday, netizens started dropping hints that the title of the film begins with the letter 'T' and several Twitteratis began speculating that Thunivu is the film's title. However, after hours of speculations, fans of the actor cracked that the title is Thunive Thunai and Ajith's SUV in one of his films Veeram had the same decal in the windshield.

While makers have been tight-lipped about the rumour mill, a source in the industry told DT Next, "Initially, the team had plans to release the first look this week. However, it got pushed to Gandhi Jayanthi." Other official updates from the film is expected to be made once AK61 is wrapped up in October. The team will be heading to Bangkok next week to shoot for stunt sequences. Directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor, Ajith will begin dubbing for his portions later this week.
