Actor Karthi's upcoming film with director Tamizh titled 'Marshal'

A few months ago, DT Next reported that the film will be a sea-based period project and Kalyani Priyadarshan will play the leading lady.

CHENNAI: Actor Karthi’s 29th film has been officially titled Marshal. The announcement was made by the actor on social media on Thursday. The film is directed by Taanakkaran fame Tamizh, and produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.

A few months ago, DT Next reported that the film will be a sea-based period project and Kalyani Priyadarshan will play the leading lady. Likewise, the team revealed that Kalyani plays the female lead. We had also mentioned that the film will go on floors in Tamil Nadu. The ensemble cast includes Sathyaraj, Prabhu, John Kokken, Lal, and Easwari Rao in key roles.

Sai Abhyankkar is composing the tunes. Cinematography will be handled by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Philomin Raj. Marshal marks Tamizh’s theatrical debut as his debut directorial, Taanakkaran with Vikram Prabhu, had an OTT release.

Meanwhile, Karthi has Sardar 2, Vaa Vaathiyaar and Kaithi 2 in the pipeline.
