“He was even given a token advance by the makers and has agreed to host the second season,” a source in Tinseltown told DT Next. It is worth noting that Kamal used the platform as a means to engage with the public and in the process also conveyed his ideology loud and clear through several strong statements against the powerful and the corrupt. 

“If Kamal hosts season 2, it will be easier for him to build a bigger following in the run up to the elections. That is the reason why he would have agreed to host it,” added the source. Another interesting fact is the second season is expected to be telecast by another newly-launched channel and not Vijay TV. 

“Season 1 was delayed by three years. In fact, the first season happened only around the time when its fourth was initially planned. The newly-launched channel will either immediately take over the show and start the season in July or will wait for another year if there are any contractual clauses that may force the show to continue with the earlier channel,” the source added.
