A picture showing a screenshot from an American animated sitcom ‘The Simpsons’ is going viral on social media. The screenshot shows a newscaster delivering news with coronavirus displayed in the backdrop.

On investigating the truth, it was found that in the actual scene the news was about ‘Osaka flu’ that gripped the residents of Springfield, the fictional town where the main characters of the show live. The episode, Marge in Chains was aired in 1993.

This shows that the viral picture was altered.
