Weather department predicts rain in 7 TN districts including Chennai on Sept 14

According to the forecast, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Ranipet, and Vellore districts may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

CHENNAI: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast that rainfall is likely in seven districts of Tamil Nadu until 10 am today.

According to the forecast, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Ranipet, and Vellore districts may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is already being reported in parts of Chennai, including Central, Egmore, Vepery, Marina, Kamarajar Salai, Kodambakkam, Nungambakkam, Saidapet, and Guindy, with thunder, lightning, and strong winds.
