Old age pensioners and physically challenged pensioners has been identified as target group to receive 10 vitamin C tablets and 10 zinc tablets each. Besides, kabasura kudineer would also be provided as part of immunity building measures, Collector TG Vinay said on Sunday. It would be given to a total of 95,000 persons at a cost of Rs 60 lakh. Funds has been mobilised through donors for the initiative. VAOs and those in-charge of pension disbursal would distribute it. The Collector said that tahsildar of social security schemes have been deputed to monitor the programme. Patients registered in Non Communicable Diseases clinics would also be covered, the Collector added.
