TIRUCHY: "We all must unite and fight against the DMK and dethrone them," AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran called upon AIADMK leaders in Thanjavur on Monday.

"We all are brethren and our major objective is to bring back the MGR-Jaya rule for which we all must unite together for the welfare of the people," Dhinakaran said as a call to leaders while speaking to reporters in Thanjavur.

Dhinakaran referred that the true followers of MGR and Jayalalithaa were split and it turned favourable for DMK. "Working together for a single cause (fighting against DMK) is the need of the hour and we the siblings (OPS, EPS, Sasikala and TTV Dhinakaran) should unite. Even if there is no need for merging the parties, it is essential that we all should unitedly fight against the DMK," he said.

He referred to the call of OPS for 'unity' and said that he has given a clear picture that everyone should drive away personal vengeance and forget the past and work unitedly in the war against the DMK.

Answering a query about former minister D Jayakumar's statement on refusal to induct, either OPS or Sasikala or even Dhinakaran into the party, the AMMK general secretary said, "Jayakumar is a senior person and he should rethink and come out of the hatred and work for a 'united fight', which would be the only way to strengthen the party. They don't need to induct me. Even if they never allow it, I will work to achieve MGR and Jayalalithaa rule in the State."
