A 38 year-old poacher, who tried to flee with a deer horn, was arrested from the Mandakli airport here, police said on Saturday. The accused was identified as Karthik Reddy, a native of Chengalpet in Tamil Nadu.
According to the police, the accused was held on Friday night while he was trying to flee to Hyderabad.
On inspection of his belongings at the Airport it was found that he had cut the deer horns into pieces so as to carry it in a convenient manner.
A case has been registered and further investigation was underway, police added.
