Tirupattur Collector suspends two staff for dereliction of duty

Inspecting the raising of a forestry scheme in the area at an estimated Rs13.63 lakh he found that though the scheme utilised the services of the 100 days work scheme staff, their register was not available on the field as mandated.

TIRUPATTUR: Collector Amar Kuswaha ordered the suspension of two staff attached to the Balur village panchayat in Madanur PU for dereliction of duty during a review of the area on Thursday. Inspecting the raising of a forestry scheme in the area at an estimated Rs13.63 lakh he found that though the scheme utilised the services of the 100 days work scheme staff, their register was not available on the field as mandated. Hence, the Collector ordered the suspension of panchayat secretary Murali and field in-charge Divya with immediate effect. Next noticing the poor maintenance of the panchayat union middle school at Thirumalaikuppam in the same union, he demanded that explanations be sought from the BDO and supervisor with immediate effect. Those present included AE Boopalan and elected representatives of the area.
