Tirupati man dies of cardiac arrest midair

A 45-year-old man died of a heart attack midair while returning from Kuwait on the wee hours of Friday.

The deceased identified as Srinivasalu Balaji (46) of Tirupati, was working in Kuwait. On Thursday, he boarded the Kuwait airline flight which was scheduled to land Chennai at 1.30 am. In midair, Srinivasalu suffered chest pain and became unconscious. Soon the pilot informed the ATC and sought first preference in landing. The flight landed in Chennai around 12.40 am. The medical team immediately rushed inside the flight and when they checked Srinivasalu, he was declared dead following a sudden cardiac arrest. On information, the airport police who arrived at the spot sent the body for autopsy.
