Despite defeat, Veerammal kept her hope of becoming the president of Arittapatti and her confidence and strong belief in her capabilities paid rich dividends this time. A beaming Veerammal received the winning certificate from the election authority standing as a proof for the saying age is no barrier. Veerammal is full of promise to render services to her fellow villagers with the support of government welfare schemes.
