CHENNAI: Several express trains will be extended with one-minute temporary stoppage at Melmaruvathur station in connection with the Irumudi custom and Thai Poosam festival to be held from January 1 to February 2, said a press release issued by the Southern Railway.
The 57 services that will stop at Melmaruvathur for one minute are: Train 12635/12636 Vaigai Superfast Express from Egmore to Madurai and back, Train 12637/12638 Pandian Superfast Express from Egmore to Madurai and back, Train 12653/12654 Rockfort Superfast Express from Egmore to Tiruchy and back, Train 16865/16866 Uzhavan Express leaving Egmore to go towards Thanjavur and back, Train 20691/20692 Antyodaya express leaving Tambaram to Nagercoil and back.
