TN will be global hub for aerospace, defence, and space innovation: CM Stalin

The Chief Minister underscored that Tamil Nadu would continue to stand firmly beside scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors working towards building a self-reliant and export-ready India in aerospace, space, shipbuilding, and defence manufacturing.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday reaffirmed Tamil Nadu's commitment to becoming a frontline hub for aerospace, maritime, and space industries, with a strong focus on innovation, self-reliance, and global collaboration.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the AeroDefCon 2025, a three-day international aerospace and defence summit at the Chennai Trade Centre, the Chief Minister said the conference serves as a launchpad for new collaborations, manufacturing ventures, and advanced industrial partnerships across strategic sectors.

"Our Ministry of Defence, DRDO, and public sector undertakings have extended their technical expertise, capabilities, and cooperation, joining hands with Tamil Nadu in this transformative journey. This conference marks the beginning of a new era, one that fosters joint ventures, high-tech manufacturing units, and pioneering enterprises in the fields of aerospace, defence, maritime, and space technologies," Stalin said.

Reaffirming the State's proactive vision, he added, "With the participation of over 19 partner nations, Tamil Nadu pledges to work collectively towards sustainable industrial growth. We assure swift execution and steadfast support to help industries achieve their goals. Our vision is to position Tamil Nadu as the premier destination for design, development, manufacturing, and exports."

The Chief Minister underscored that Tamil Nadu would continue to stand firmly beside scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors working towards building a self-reliant and export-ready India in aerospace, space, shipbuilding, and defence manufacturing.

"Tamil Nadu is determined to play a key role in shaping an Atmanirbhar Bharat, an India that is technologically advanced, globally competitive, and capable of driving peace, progress, and prosperity worldwide, " he said, calling the event a milestone in India's defence and industrial journey.

Ministers TRB Rajaa, TM Anbarasan, MP TR Baalu, officials, delegates from various nations, industrialists and scientists attended the event.
