TIRUVALLUR: Residents of Pullarambakkam had a surprise visitor on Wednesday when a six-foot cobra was found in front of one the houses in the neighbourhood. Fire and Rescue Services personnel rescued the snake.

Gnana Sowri, a resident of Murugan Koil Street near Tiruvallur was shocked to find a huge cobra nestled among a pile of stones that were in front of his house on Wednesday. He, along with his neighbours, immediately alerted the Fire and Rescue Services who rushed to the spot. They rescued the snake after a half an hour battle and safely released it into the wild shortly.
