Shutdown violation: Fine collection crosses Rs 5 cr

In the third phase of the nationwide lockdown, the fines collected from violators stood at Rs 5.11 crore till 9 am on Tuesday.

While, 4.35 lakh incidents of violations have been reported across the State so far, 4.59 lakh people have been arrested. As many as 3.79 lakh vehicles were seized from the offenders. In the city, 121 cases of violation were booked in the last 24 hours and 50 vehicles were seized. 

Traffic police seized 143 vehicles for traffic violations. Meanwhile, the city police released 2.31 lakh vehicles, which seized for violating lockdown norms.
