‘Set up railway line between UT-Cuddalore'

The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has put forth a demand to the union government to set up a railway line between Puducherry and Cuddalore.

The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has put forth a demand to the union government to set up a railway line between Puducherry and Cuddalore. In a memorandum submitted to Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh C Angadi here on Thursday, the party also urged to set up another railway line between Puducherry and Tindivanam, BJP state president V Saminanthan said in a statement here on Friday. The party also put forth demands including naming the Karaikal Railway station as Karaikal Ammayar Railway Station, expediting Karaikal to Peralam railway line.
