Cops Sridhar and Veyil Muthu had moved the Criminal court in Madurai for bail, the hearing took place on Thursday and the duo were rejected bail.

Father-son duo Jayaraj and Bennix were allegedly tortured and killed by the Sathankulam police.

CBI took up the case arresting 10 cops from the Sathankulam station.

On Monday SSI Paldurai, one among the accused, succumbed to Covid-19.
