The MLAs who met under the leadership of Stalin, who is also facing breach of privilege, presented their cases to the party legal experts.

“We have time till 5 pm Tuesday. Our LoP has asked us to come again tomorrow (Tuesday). We explained our stand to the party advocates. A draft of our reply would be readied tonight. After a last round of interaction tomorrow, our replies would be sent to the Speaker before evening,” said one of the MLAs who attended the meeting.

“Indeed, we informed the privilege committee that we had brought banned gutkha as evidence to the House. The ruling dispensation is desperate to suspend us. We are most likely to move the court for remedy,” the MLA added.
