Palaniswami predicts one more ally

At present, the NDA in the State comprises the AIADMK, the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Tamil Maanila Congress, and the Anbumani faction of PMK.

CHENNAI: After sealing the tie-up with Pattali Makkal Katchi’s Anbumani faction, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami is hinting at one more entrant to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The AIADMK chief enthused the cadre during an interview with party ticket aspirants on Monday, saying a new political party would join the alliance, strengthening the AIADMK-led NDA in the State.

Party ticket aspirants from districts, including Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, and Tiruchy, who took part in the second phase of the interview conducted in Chennai, got a shot in the arm when EPS shared details on boosting the front, seeding hopes of the alliance’s victory.

Edappadi Palaniswami urges workers to ensure victory of candidates, irrespective of whether they were AIADMK candidates or their alliance partners parties onto a single stage at public meetings to be addressed by Narendra Modi in Tamil Nadu on January 23 and 28.

At present, the NDA in the State comprises the AIADMK, the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Tamil Maanila Congress, and the Anbumani faction of PMK.

Discussions are also underway with parties such as TTV Dhinakaran’s Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) and the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK).
