CHENNAI: Southern Railway has announced one way express special train between Chennai Egmore and Tenkasi on Tuesday to clear extra rush of passengers during Pongal.

Train No 06072 Chennai Egmore – Tenkasi one way express special will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.50 pm on January 13(Tuesday) and reach reach Tenkasi at 03.00 pm, the next day (one service). The train will have stoppages at Tambaram, Chengalpattu and Melmaruvathur in Chennai.

Coach composition will be of eight sleeper class coaches, eight general second class coaches and two second class coaches (Disabled friendly). Advance reservation for the special train will open shortly, the press release said.
