One held, articles worth Rs 8.6 lakh stolen from temples recovered in Kumari

Kanniyakumari police arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with robbery in various temples and recovered pooja articles worth Rs 8.6 lakh.

The accused has been identified as A Anish Raj of Saral village of Kurunthancode, sources said. The recovered articles include 600 kg of bronze items, including ‘kuthuvilakku’ and 16 grams of gold, SP V Badri Narayanan said on Sunday.
