CHENNAI: After a senior advocate sent representation to the Tamil Nadu Governor’s office under the Right To Information Act to know about the Sanatana Dharma and Hindu Dharma, the Raj Bhavan responded that there is no such information available with the governor’s office.
“With reference to your application cited, I am to inform you that the questions raised in your letter addressed to the Governor under the guise of seeking information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 is no information available in any form to be provided under the said Act.
The information sought cannot be a subject matter under the Right to Information Act, 2005 and the same is not an available record of the Governor's Secretariat, ” C Ramaprabha, undersecretary to the governor and public information officer said in the RTI reply.
Recently, the senior advocate sent the question citing the speeches of the governor about the Hindu / Sanatana Dharma. Doraisamy asked the governor’s office to respond about the origin and principles of Sanatana Dharma.
He claimed that since the governor has been consistently speaking about the Sanatana Dharma, the advocate noted that he wants to know the details of the same from the governor’s office.
