CHENNAI:School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi strongly condemned Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for calling TN MPs ‘uncivilised’ in the Parliament on Monday and termed NEP as RSS-driven agenda.

Anbil Mahesh questioned whether Pradhan was reading a script handed over to him. He urged him to respond to the questions raised by CM Stalin on claims made in the Parliament over the State accepting to implement PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme in TN.

Mahesh said, “Does he truly understand what he is saying? The Union BJP government’s political interference in education will not be forgiven. Students and teachers will remember this betrayal.”

Refuting charges that TN made U-turn after accepting PM SHRI scheme, Anbil clarified that the State never accepted it. He stressed that DMK MPs are fighting for education and rights of TN. “This fight will not stop until justice prevails,” he said.
