CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday launched the website of En Kanavu En Ethirkalam (My dream, My future), a new initiative aimed at capturing and fulfilling the aspirations of the State's youth. The initiative is part of the ongoing Unga Kanava Solluga (UKS) survey.
Launching the website at a public event in Tindivanam, the Chief Minister said the platform would enable young people to upload their dreams and aspirations directly. He assured that the government would take steps to translate these aspirations into policy measures and programmes.
At the event, Stalin also distributed welfare assistance to 1.82 lakh beneficiaries who had applied through the government's outreach programme Ungaludan Stalin.
In a statement, the government said the Ungaludan Stalin initiative, launched on July 15, 2025, has so far organised 3,768 camps in urban areas and 6,232 in rural areas across the State. Through these camps, 38.50 lakh applications were received, of which 28.87 lakh were accepted. About 9.58 lakh applications could not be processed due to administrative reasons.
Under the Ungaludan Stalin camps, around 30 lakh applications were received for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai (KMUT) scheme. After field verification, 16.90 lakh women were found eligible and are currently receiving monthly assistance under the scheme, the statement said.
The En Kanavu En Ethirkalam programme is being implemented by the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department. Through the dedicated website (https://enkanavu.tn.gov.in), youngsters can submit their ideas, goals and expectations from the government.
Ministers MRK Panneerselvam and CV Ganesan, along with Additional Chief Secretary P Amutha, were present at the event.
