The elated MP stressed that the government would certainly complete its term and the promises of the former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa would be fulfilled at any cost.

Speaking to reporters, Vaithilingam said, the AIADMK will not only complete its term but also win in the next election. He stressed that the AIADMK will rule the state for more than 100 years, which was the dream of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Stating that the General Body meeting of the party was very successful, the minister and the party’s strong man from Thanjavur said, there is no fact that the MLAs belonging to TTV Dinakaran faction were threatened.

“In a democratic country, no one can threaten others and everyone is aware of it,” said Vaithilingam. Later, the MP, who reached Thanjavur told reporters there that 98 per cent of the General Council members of the party, appointed by the former AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa attended the meeting and a video recording of the meeting would be presented before the Election Commission of India.

He further said that, the MLAs staying at Kodagu are also with the government and they would come to the ruling dispensation if they were set free, he added. He further said the soul of the late Jayalalithaa would not condone those who were saying they would topple this government.
