Month-long Ramzan fast begins on February 19

CHENNAI: The crescent marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramzan was sighted in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday evening.

Muslims across the State will commence fasting from Thursday, Government Chief Kazi and Grand Mufti Kazi Usman Mohideen Baqavi announced.

The month-long observance will conclude with the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr after 30 days of fasting.
