Sources said Sargunam, the accused, had an extra-marital relationship with another woman. Upon knowing this, his wife, a tailor, demanded answers from Sargunam. The latter, however became agitated and attacked her.
A neighbour recorded a video clip of the quarrel on his cell phone and shared it to an electronic media channel.
The clip later went viral on social media, sources said. Based on a complaint lodged bythe wife, Dindigul West police booked Sargunam under the WomanHarassment Act and arrested him.
