CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Home Department on Thursday brought in N Kannan as the new Inspector General of police for North zone in the place of PC Thenmozhi, who has been asked to take charge as IG, SID, CB-CID in the existing vacancy.
Kannan has been functioning as Inspector General of Police, Armed Police, Chennai.
Among other shuffle A Pradeep, Deputy Commissioner of Police, St Thomas Mount, Greater Chennal Police, has been transferred and posted as superintendent of police , Chengalpattu district.
Deepak Siwach, commandant, TSP battalion, Avadi has been asked to assume the office of DC, St Thomas Mount.
Samay Singh Meena, commandant, TSP battalion, Ulundurpet has been posted as DC, traffic, east, Chennai in the place D Kumar, who has been transferred and posted as Commandant, TSP battalion, Avadi, said a note from TN Home Department.
