Magha Mahotsavam: Special train to pass through Tamil Nadu

The Varanasi–Ernakulam Express Special will depart Varanasi on January 30 and reach Ernakulam Junction on February 1, with a return journey from Ernakulam on February 3.

CHENNAI: Ahead of Magha Mahotsavam at Thirunavaya in Kerala, Indian railways has announced a special Varanasi–Ernakulam Express service, which will pass through several key stations in Tamil Nadu.

The Varanasi–Ernakulam Express Special will depart Varanasi on January 30 and reach Ernakulam Junction on February 1, with a return journey from Ernakulam on February 3.

The train will halt at major Tamil Nadu stations including Perambur (Chennai), Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore and Podanur, making it especially useful for passengers from Chennai and western Tamil Nadu travelling to Kerala.

Advance reservations open at 8 am on January 28 through regular railway booking channels.
