CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu could receive heavy rains for the next four days as an atmospheric circulation over the Southern coast of Andaman has strengthened into a low-pressure area (LPA).

The pressure will further strengthen on Saturday as it moves towards the central-western Bay of Bengal, the Met department informed.

This development could cause the system to even turn into cyclone in the next 48 hours.
