Karur MP Jothimani, DMK MLA allege irregularities

According to Jothimani, K-Paramathi Union, Kudalur West panchayat ward no 16 Congress candidate Loganayagi secured as many as 16 more votes than the AIADMK candidate Kalaiarasi Ravi. But the officials delayed the declaration of the results which prompted heated argument between the officials and the Congress cadre while AIADMK cadre came in support of the officials.

“After five hours, that is at around 2.30 am, the officials declared the AIADMK candidate Kalaiarasi Ravi as winner and we cannot allow this,” said Jothimani.

Jothimani said that the Congress and DMK cadre will never leave until, the actual winner Loganayagi was declared as the winner.

Meanwhile, DMK MLA V Senthil Balaji claimed that the officials are acting as AIADMK functionaries and vowed to fight for the Congress candidate’s cause.

Similarly, in Pudukkottai, Karambakudi Union ward council Congress candidate Chinnaiyan secured 99 more votes than an independent candidate Dhanavanthan. However, the officials declared the Independent candidate Dhanavanthan as winner. DMK, Cong and AMMK cadres objected to it.
