ISRO, VIT conduct three-day expo as part of World Space Week

Though India entered the space rather late it was today one of the top five nations in space tech. Listing out various products developed by BHEL for ISRO’s space applications, he said the PSU had a group dedicated to defence and aerospace businesses.

VELLORE: ISRO’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in association with VIT University organised a three-day exhibition as part of the World Space Week celebrations at VIT University on Friday. Inaugurating the show, Ranipet BHEL ED Rajeev Singh urged students to understand the concepts of science and technology, as they were the basis for all discoveries and inventions. Though India entered the space rather late it was today one of the top five nations in space tech. Listing out various products developed by BHEL for ISRO’s space applications, he said the PSU had a group dedicated to defence and aerospace businesses. Satish Dhawan Space Centre’s vehicle assembly and launch facility deputy director A Syed Hamed said a visionary leadership had resulted in the nation achieving self-reliance in launch vehicle and satellite technology. VIT Chancellor G Viswanathan presiding said science and technology should be beneficial to society and nation.
