Iron sword discovered at Konthagai site in Keezhadi

In Keezhadi and its cluster sites excavations at Kondagai, Sivaganga district, a fine specimen of sword made of iron having an exposed length of 40 cm was traced at the depth of 71 cm inside the urn no.

MADURAI: In Keezhadi and its cluster sites excavations at Kondagai, Sivaganga district, a fine specimen of sword made of iron having an exposed length of 40 cm was traced at the depth of 71 cm inside the urn no. 107 in the excavated trench ZP3 along with grave goods of black-and red wareand skeletal remains on Thursday, R Sivanandam, Director of Archaeology, said.
