A 45- year-old farmer from Soorapallam near Pattukkottai along with his 12–year-old son tested positive on Sunday and when they were taken to a private hospital his frustrated wife fell unconscious. She was rushed to the Pattukkottai GH, but she died on the way to hospital. Health officials has taken her samples too and the man and his son has requested to perform her last rites. The woman’s mother too tested positive and has been admitted to Thanjavur Medical College Hospital.
